In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Fremont Firebirds soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals.
The Firebirds (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Cupertino (Cupertino, CA). The Pioneers go into the SCVAL - El Camino battle with a 4-3 record.
The Cardinals (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Gilroy (Gilroy, CA). The Mustangs go into the BVAL - STAL- WEST battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Gilroy was nudged by Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
