Barren County Trojans (Glasgow, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Whites Creek Cobras (Whites Creek, TN), 62-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Barren County upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Trojans host Clinton County (Albany, KY) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Clinton County lost 78-42 in their recent league bout against Russell County (Russell Springs, KY)

Next up, the Cobras clash with the KIPP Nashville Collegiate Warriors (Nashville, TN) in a 2A District 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Whites Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 71-35 non-league loss to Overton (Nashville, TN).
