Beach Buccaneers (Beach, ND) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Plevna Cougars (Plevna, MT), 67-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Beach upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Buccaneers host Hettinger/Scranton (Hettinger, ND) to play the Black Devils in a B District 5 bout on Friday, January 12. The Black Devils go into the bout with a record of 0-5. Hettinger/Scranton lost 51-40 in their recent non-league bout against Killdeer (Killdeer, ND)

Next up, the Cougars play the Powder River County Hawks (Broadus, MT) in a C District 4 bout, on Friday, January 19. Plevna will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
