Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bergman Panthers (Bergman, AR), 61-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rivercrest upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Colts host Melbourne (Melbourne, AR) to clash with the Bearkatz in a non-league bout on Monday, January 8. The Bearkatz go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Melbourne lost 78-50 in their recent league bout against Hoxie (Hoxie, AR)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the West Fork Tigers (West Fork, AR) in a 3A Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Bergman will attempt to upgrade on its 19-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 77-68 league win over Valley Springs (Valley Springs, AR).
