Georgia High School Basketball - Woodville-Tompkins thwarts Bethune-Bowman

January 6, 2024: Savannah, GA 31408

The Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines (Savannah, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Bethune-Bowman Mohawks (Orangeburg, SC), 61-47 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Wolverines (13-2) will now prepare for their test against Screven County (Sylvania, GA). The Gamecocks go into the A D1 Region 3 test with a 2-8 record. In their last test, Screven County went down by Burke County (Waynesboro, GA), 67-50, in a non-league test.

The Mohawks now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Allendale-Fairfax for a A Region 7 test on Tuesday, January 9. Bethune-Bowman will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 46-43 league loss to Branchville (Branchville, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 3-11.
