Illinois High School Basketball - Blue Island Eisenhower knocked off by Brother Rice

The Brother Rice Crusaders basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals to 71 in the Crusaders non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Crusaders now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Providence Catholic for a Chicago Catholic - White contest on Tuesday, January 9. Brother Rice will battle a Celtics team coming off a 53-42 non-league loss to Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL). The Celtics record now stands at 7-9.
The Cardinals (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL). The Meteors enter the South Suburban contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Thornton Fractional North was defeated by St. John's Jesuit (Toledo, OH), 44-34, in a non-league contest.
