San Angelo Central Bobcats (San Angelo, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Burkburnett Bulldogs (Burkburnett, TX), 75-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, San Angelo Central upgrades its record to 18-8 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Permian (Odessa, TX) to play the Panthers in a 6A Region I District 2 bout on Friday, January 12. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 15-7. Permian won 55-52 in their recent non-league bout against Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Burkburnett will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record. The Porcupines come into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 59-55 non-league win over Sanger (Sanger, TX).
