Los Amigos Lobos (Fountain Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals (Montebello, CA), 58-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Los Amigos upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Lobos host La Quinta (Westminster, CA) to clash with the Aztecs in a Garden Grove bout on Monday, January 8. The Aztecs go into the bout with a record of 3-13. La Quinta lost 58-49 in their recent non-league bout against Anaheim (Anaheim, CA)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA) in a Santa Fe bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Stars go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 48-46 league win over Verbum Dei Jesuit (Los Angeles, CA).
