Iowa High School Basketball - Davis County topped by Central Decatur

The Central Decatur Cardinals basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the visiting Davis County Mustangs to 56 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Saturday.

The Cardinals now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wayne for a Pride of Iowa contest on Tuesday, January 9. Central Decatur will battle a Falcons team coming off a 73-46 league win over Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 8-3.

The Mustangs (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Centerville (Centerville, IA). The Big Reds/Redettes come into the non-league contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Centerville was defeated by Moravia (Moravia, IA), 65-64, in a non-league contest.
