McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Claxton Tigers (Claxton, GA), 57-50 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, McIntosh County Academy improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Savannah Classical Academy (Savannah, GA) to confront the Spartans in a A D2 Region 3 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 1-9.

Next up, the Tigers confront the Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines (Savannah, GA) in a A D1 Region 3 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Claxton will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record.
