The Elk City Elks basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Hinton Comets to 48 in the Elks non-league victory on Saturday.
The Elks now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Weatherford for a Western - North contest on Tuesday, January 9. Elk City will battle a Eagles team coming off a 52-36 non-league win over Guthrie (Guthrie, OK). The Eagles record now stands at 12-1.
The Comets (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Binger-Oney (Binger, OK). The Bobcats come into the non-league contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, Binger-Oney prevailed over Carnegie (Carnegie, OK), 50-38, in a non-league contest.
