The Gabriel Richard Fighting Irish (Ann Arbor, MI) basketball nipped the host Hackett Catholic Prep Fighting Irish (Kalamazoo, MI), 55-53 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Fighting Irish (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Divine Child (Dearborn, MI). The Falcons go into the Catholic AA test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Divine Child was tipped by Lumen Christi Catholic (Jackson, MI), 77-43, in a non-league test.

The Fighting Irish now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Coloma for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. Hackett Catholic Prep will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 53-36 non-league loss to St. Joseph (St. Joseph, MI). The Comets record now stands at 1-7.
