The Heritage Hawks (Saginaw, MI) basketball nipped the visiting Hamady Hawks (Flint, MI), 66-63 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Hawks (6-0) will now prepare for their test against Traverse City Central (Traverse City, MI). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 1-8 record. In their last test, Traverse City Central was tipped by Traverse City West (Traverse City, MI), 64-59, in a league test.

The Hawks now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Beecher for a Genesee Area - Red test on Tuesday, January 9. Hamady will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 89-47 non-league loss to St. Mary's Prep (Orchard Lake, MI). The Buccaneers record now stands at 4-4.
