In Saturday's non-league outing, the Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY) basketball squad nipped the host North Laurel Jaguars (London, KY), by a margin of 65-58.

The Black Bears (16-3) will now prepare for their outing against Bell County (Pineville, KY). The Bobcats go into the District 52 outing with a 16-0 record. In their last outing, Bell County got by Daniel Boone (Gray, TN), 61-60, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, North Laurel moves to 4-10 on the year. The Jaguars host Madison Central (Richmond, KY) to meet the Indians in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 9. The Indians enter the match with a record of 6-11. Madison Central won 75-43 in their recent non-league match against Western Hills (Frankfort, KY)
