The Lions go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Payne Tech lost 69-52 in their recent non-league bout against East Orange Campus (East Orange, NJ)

Next up, the Roughriders clash with the East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) in a Super Essex - American bout, on Tuesday, January 9. West Side will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 60-44 league loss to Columbia (Maplewood, NJ).
