Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears (Juneau, AK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Monroe Catholic Rams (Fairbanks, AK), 53-50 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Juneau-Douglas improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Crimson Bears travel to Nome-Beltz (Nome, AK) to play the Nanooks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Nanooks come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Nome-Beltz won 74-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Unalakleet (Unalakleet, AK)

Next up, the Rams play the Barrow Whalers (Utqiagvik, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Monroe Catholic will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record.
