In their next game, the Kays face the Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL) in a Southland game, on Tuesday, January 9. Kankakee will attempt to move on its 13-1 season record. The Blazing Trojan enter the game with a 8-5 record after their 66-38 non-league loss to New Trier (Winnetka, IL).

With the defeat, Latin moves to 5-9 on the year. The Romans travel to Elgin Academy (Elgin, IL) to face the Hilltoppers in a Independent School game on Thursday, January 11. The Hilltoppers enter the game with a record of 8-10. Elgin Academy won 60-28 in their recent non-league game against Alden-Hebron (Hebron, IL)
