In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Sherrard Tigers basketball team scored a big 72-40 win over the Knoxville Blue Bullets.

With the win, Sherrard upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Beecher (Beecher, IL) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 18-0.

Next up, the Blue Bullets play the Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL) in a Lincoln Trail bout, on Friday, January 12. Knoxville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record.
