Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs (Lynchburg, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Paint Valley Bearcats (Bainbridge, OH), 38-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lynchburg-Clay upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Blanchester (Blanchester, OH) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Blanchester won 58-47 in their recent league bout against East Clinton (Sabina, OH)

Next up, the Bearcats clash with the Zane Trace Pioneers (Chillicothe, OH) in a Scioto Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Paint Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 55-46 non-league loss to Miami Trace (Washington Courthouse, OH).
