The Northwestern Huskies basketball team (West Salem, OH), was nudged 89-83 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH)
The Mounties now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Central for a Firelands battle on Thursday, January 11. Mapleton will confront a Trojans team coming off a 78-48 non-league loss to Mansfield Christian (Mansfield, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 2-8.
The Huskies (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Hillsdale (Jeromesville, OH). The Falcons come into the Wayne County battle with a 5-2 record.
