The Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets (Mt. Vernon, OH), 51-32 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Wildcats (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Groveport-Madison (Groveport, OH). The Cruisers go into the Ohio Capital - Buckeye test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Groveport-Madison went down by Pickerington Central (Pickerington, OH), 67-47, in a league test.
