Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers (Coraopolis, PA) and the visiting Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA), saw Our Lady of the Sacred Heart's basketball squad hold off Quaker Valley by a tally of 42-41.

With the victory, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Chargers host South Park (South Park, PA) to confront the Eagles in a WPIAL 3A 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. South Park won 51-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Brownsville (Brownsville, PA)

Next up, the Quakers confront the Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Quaker Valley will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Antelopes come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 67-57 league win over South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA).
