New Mexico High School Basketball - West Las Vegas trounces Thoreau

The West Las Vegas Dons (Las Vegas, NM) basketball crushed the host Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM), 83-57 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Dons (10-1) will now prepare for their test against Cottonwood Classical Prep (Albuquerque, NM). The Coyotes go into the non-league test with a 3-7 record. In their last test, Cottonwood Classical Prep walloped Chesterton Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 69-24, in a non-league test.

The Hawks now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Laguna Acoma for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. Thoreau will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 62-59 non-league win over Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 1-10.
