The Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM) basketball crushed the visiting Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM), 53-28 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Chieftains (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Scorpions go into the non-league test with a 8-1 record. In their last test, Farmington was trounced by Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM), 63-39, in a non-league test.

The Skyhawks now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Thoreau for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 16.
