Notre Dame Academy Tritons (Green Bay, WI) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL), 70-63 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Notre Dame Academy upgrades its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Tritons host Green Bay Southwest (Green Bay, WI) to play the Fighting Trojans in a Fox River Classic bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Fighting Trojans come into the bout with a record of 9-3. Green Bay Southwest won 41-37 in their recent league bout against Bay Port (Green Bay, WI)

Next up, the Redbirds play the Collinsville Kahoks (Collinsville, IL) in a Southwestern bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Alton will attempt to upgrade on its 17-1 season record. The Kahoks come into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 56-28 non-league win over Waterloo (Waterloo, IL).
