The Assumption Knights (Davenport, IA) basketball nipped the visiting Annawan Braves (Annawan, IL), 48-43 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Knights (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Central Clinton (DeWitt, IA). The Sabers go into the Mississippi test with a 6-3 record. In their last test, Central Clinton was tipped by Pleasant Valley (Pleasant Valley, IA), 60-52, in a league test.

The Braves now own a 16-4 record. They play next when they travel to Galva for a Lincoln Trail test on Monday, January 8. Annawan will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 44-19 league loss to Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-13.
