Burlington-Edison Tigers (Burlington, WA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), 81-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Burlington-Edison upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Ferndale (Ferndale, WA) to play the Golden Eagles in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Ferndale lost 66-64 in their recent league bout against Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Mt. Baker will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 62-9 league win over Bellingham (Bellingham, WA).
