Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers (Mountain Iron, MN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Crosby-Ironton Rangers (Crosby, MN), 70-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mountain Iron-Buhl upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Rangers travel to International Falls (International Falls, MN) to play the Broncos in a AA Section 7 bout on Monday, January 8. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 2-6. International Falls lost 73-62 in their recent non-league bout against North Woods (Cook, MN)

Next up, the Rangers play the Cloquet Lumberjacks (Cloquet, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Crosby-Ironton will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 73-57 non-league loss to Pequot Lakes (Pequot Lakes, MN).
