Nebraska High School Basketball - Omaha Nation can't hold off Douglas County West

The Douglas County West Falcon basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Omaha Nation Chiefs to 61 in the Falcon non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Falcon now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yutan for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Douglas County West will battle a Chieftains team coming off a 53-47 non-league loss to Pender (Pender, NE). The Chieftains record now stands at 8-2.

The Chiefs (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Winside (Winside, NE). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, Winside was nudged by Hartington-Newcastle (Hartington, NE), 52-19, in a non-league contest.
