Echo Cougars (Echo, OR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Joseph Eagles (Joseph, OR), 51-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Echo upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Nixyaawii Community (Pendleton, OR) to play the Eagles in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Friday, January 12. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-7.

Next up, the Eagles play the Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon bout, on Friday, January 12. Joseph will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record.
