Illinois High School Basketball - Elgin nudges Harvest Christian Academy

Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Harvest Christian Academy Lions (Elgin, IL), 41-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elgin upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season. The Maroons host St. Edward (Elgin, IL) to clash with the Green Wave in a non-league bout on Monday, January 8. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 10-8. St. Edward won 55-44 in their recent non-league bout against Larkin (Elgin, IL)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Hinckley-Big Rock Royals (Hinckley, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Harvest Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Royals go into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 68-48 non-league loss to Morris (Morris, IL).
