Englewood Pirates (Englewood, CO) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls (Denver, CO), 55-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Englewood upgrades its record to 1-8 on the season. The Pirates host Fort Lupton (Fort Lupton, CO) to play the Bluedevils in a 4A Frontier bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bluedevils go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Fort Lupton lost 45-31 in their recent non-league bout against Jefferson (Edgewater, CO)

Next up, the Ocelotls play the Lincoln Lancers (Denver, CO) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 61-9 non-league win over DSST: Green Valley Ranch (Denver, CO).
