The Nelson basketball team (Happy Valley, OR), dropped 41-27 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Grants Pass Cavemen (Grants Pass, OR)
The Cavemen now possess a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Medford for a 6A Southwest battle on Tuesday, January 9. Grants Pass will confront a Black Tornado team coming off a 30-27 non-league loss to Lake Oswego (Lake Oswego, OR). The Black Tornado record now stands at 4-8.
The (9-1) will now prepare for their battle against Reynolds (Troutdale, OR). The Raiders come into the 6A Mt. Hood battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, Reynolds dropped by Aloha (Beaverton, OR), 37-35, in a non-league battle.
