Spotswood Chargers (Spotswood, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hamilton Hornets (Hamilton, NJ), 45-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spotswood upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Chargers host New Brunswick (New Brunswick, NJ) to play the Zebra in a non-league bout on Monday, January 8. The Zebra go into the bout with a record of 2-4. New Brunswick lost 48-10 in their recent non-league bout against Metuchen (Metuchen, NJ)

Next up, the Hornets play the Princeton Tigers (Princeton, NJ) in a Colonial Valley - Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Hamilton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 60-27 non-league win over Trenton Central (Trenton, NJ).
