Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Northpoint Christian Trojans (Southaven, MS), 60-41 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Hernando improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS) to confront the Eagles in a 7A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Horn Lake lost 33-30 in their recent league challenge against Southaven (Southaven, MS)

Next up, the Trojans confront the St. George's Gryphons (Collierville, TN) in a Division II-A West District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Northpoint Christian will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record.
