Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), 42-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lockport upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Porters host Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Lincoln-Way West won 45-31 in their recent league bout against Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL)

Next up, the Steelmen play the West Aurora Blackhawks (Aurora, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Joliet Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 62-57 non-league loss to Neuqua Valley (Naperville, IL).
