In Saturday's non-league outing, the Riverdale Rams (Port Byron, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Mediapolis Bulldogs (Mediapolis, IA), by a count of 57-26.

The Rams (13-4) will now prepare for their outing against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Comets go into the non-league outing with a 10-11 record. In their last outing, Newman Central Catholic was crushed by Kewanee (Kewanee, IL), 45-33, in a league outing.

The Bulldogs now hold a 9-2 record. They play next when they host Winfield-Mt. Union for a non-league outing on Monday, January 8. Mediapolis will clash with a Wolves squad coming off a 64-46 league loss to Lone Tree (Lone Tree, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 3-10.
