Mississippi High School Basketball - Noxubee County thwarts West Lowndes

The Noxubee County Tigers (Macon, MS) basketball knocked off the visiting West Lowndes Panthers (Columbus, MS), 48-40 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Tigers (2-10) will now prepare for their test against McLaurin (Florence, MS). The Tigers go into the 3A Region 5 test with a 2-14 record. In their last test, McLaurin went down by Kemper County (DeKalb, MS), 52-13, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 2-14 record. They play next when they travel to Pickens County for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 9. West Lowndes will encounter a Tornadoes squad coming off a 36-21 league loss to Berry (Berry, AL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 0-4.
