The Springs Valley Blackhawks basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the visiting Vincennes Rivet Patriots to 34 in the Blackhawks non-league victory on Saturday.

The Blackhawks now sport a 16-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crawford County for a Patoka Lake contest on Tuesday, January 9. Springs Valley will battle a Wolfpack team coming off a 43-34 league win over Paoli (Paoli, IN). The Wolfpack record now stands at 15-3.

The Patriots (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against Loogootee (Loogootee, IN). The Lions come into the Blue Chip contest with a 7-8 record.
