Ohio High School Basketball - Turpin nips Western Brown

Turpin Spartans (Cincinnati, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Western Brown Broncos (Mt. Orab, OH), 48-43 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Turpin upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to West Clermont (Cincinnati, OH) to play the Wolves in a Eastern Cincinnati bout on Monday, January 8. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 10-2. West Clermont won 60-52 in their recent league bout against Milford (Milford, OH)
Next up, the Broncos play the New Richmond Lions (New Richmond, OH) in a Southern Buckeye - American bout, on Monday, January 8. Western Brown will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 43-34 non-league loss to Clermont Northeastern (Batavia, OH).
