In Saturday's league challenge, the Shenendehowa Plainsmen (Clifton Park, NY) ice hockey team nudged the host Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans (Burnt Hills, NY), by a margin of 5-4.

The Plainsmen now possess a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Albany for a challenge on Wednesday, January 10.

The Spartans (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Queensbury (Queensbury, NY). The Spartans enter the challenge with a 6-3 record.
