Half Moon Bay Cougars (Half Moon Bay, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Menlo School Knights (Atherton, CA), 53-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Half Moon Bay upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Cougars host Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA) to clash with the Bears in a bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 10-1. Menlo-Atherton won 64-22 in their recent non-league bout against Westmoor (Daly City, CA)

Next up, the Knights clash with the Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons (Hillsborough, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Menlo School will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Gryphons go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 35-29 non-league win over South San Francisco (South San Francisco, CA).
