Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Northwest Yeshiva Lions (Mercer Island, WA), 70-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mercer Island upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Islanders host Bellevue (Bellevue, WA) to clash with the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Bellevue won 64-22 in their recent non-league bout against Juanita (Kirkland, WA)

Next up, the Lions clash with the Non JV Opponent (, ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Northwest Yeshiva will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The go into the bout with a 62-83 record after their 50-19 non-league win over Bear Creek (Redmond, WA).
