Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Pacific Ridge Firebirds (Carlsbad, CA), 46-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Point Loma upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Pointers travel to Victory Christian Academy (Chula Vista, CA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 4-5. Victory Christian Academy lost 78-36 in their recent non-league bout against Rancho Bernardo (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Firebirds play the Army-Navy Warriors (Carlsbad, CA) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Pacific Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 53-29 league win over Orange Glen (Escondido, CA).
