In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Morton Ranch Mavericks soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Atascocita Eagles.
The Mavericks (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Fort Bend Kempner (Sugar Land, TX). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Fort Bend Kempner was nudged by Memorial (Houston, TX), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Beaumont United (Beaumont, TX). The Timberwolves come into the battle with a 0-0 record.
