The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI) and the host Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI), observed Pilgrim's basketball team overcome Cranston East by a margin of 67-53.

The Patriots (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Providence (North Providence, RI). The Cougars come into the Division II challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, North Providence defeated Coventry (Coventry, RI), 69-59, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Thunderbolts battle the Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI) in a Division I challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Cranston East will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 69-55 league loss to Westerly (Westerly, RI).
