Ferndale Golden Eagles (Ferndale, WA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA), 52-43 in a league match.
With the victory, Ferndale upgrades its record to 5-5 on the year. The Golden Eagles host Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA) to face the Bulldogs in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Thursday, January 9. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 4-6. Mount Vernon lost 56-55 in their recent league match against Lakewood (Arlington, WA)
The Storm now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cedarcrest for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 8. Squalicum will face a Red Wolves squad coming off a 51-40 non-league loss to Anacortes (Anacortes, WA). The Red Wolves record now stands at 3-8.
