The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) and the visiting North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI), observed Mt. Hope's basketball team overcome North Smithfield by a margin of 54-42.

The Huskies (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI). The Saints come into the non-league challenge with a 3-6 record. In their last challenge, St. Raphael Academy defeated Juanita Sanchez Complex (Providence, RI), 66-57, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Northmen battle the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a Division III challenge, on Thursday, January 9. North Smithfield will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Chieftains come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 62-55 league win over Central Falls (Central Falls, RI).
