The Powers Cruisers basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Gold Beach Panthers to 27 in the Cruisers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Cruisers now possess a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Glendale for a 1A Skyline game on Friday, January 10. Powers will confront a Pirates team coming off a 62-43 non-league win over Reedsport (Reedsport, OR). The Pirates record now stands at 3-8.

With the loss, Gold Beach falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Elkton (Elkton, OR) to confront the Elks in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. The Elks go into the game with a record of 2-6. Elkton won 33-29 in their recent league game against Days Creek (Days Creek, OR)
