In Monday's non-league contest, the host Mayfield Wildcats basketball team scored a big 66-23 win over the John Adams Rebels.

The Wildcats (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against South (Willoughby, OH). The Rebels come into the Western Reserve contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, South smashed Wickliffe (Wickliffe, OH), 38-29, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Rebels battle the Glenville Tarblooders (Cleveland, OH) in a Cleveland Municipal Senate contest, on Tuesday, January 7. John Adams will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record. The Tarblooders come into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 52-4 league win over East Tech (Cleveland, OH).
